About the Author
I'm Joe Leone, callsign W4GGJ — a General Class amateur radio operator, POTA activator, and the creator of Tava One. I've been licensed since December 2024 and operating FT8 since December 2025. In that time I've worked 160 countries, earned multiple ARRL awards, and activated parks across Florida.
These books exist because I remember being brand new to this hobby and not finding guides written for people who just want to get on the air. So I wrote them.
