The park
Frog Creek is part of the larger Terra Ceia system — a quiet river experience that connects to one of the more historically rich areas on the Gulf Coast. The region around Terra Ceia shows archaeological evidence of human habitation going back to 8,000 B.C., used by indigenous groups as hunting and camping grounds. Later it was settled by Cuban families who built a livelihood from the fishing waters. Today Frog Creek is a conservation area where you can paddle through mangroves and moss-draped trees in what feels like old Florida. It's the kind of place that earns your respect for sitting quiet and doing its job without trying to impress anyone.

Morning warmup activation on the way to a planned second stop.
The setup
Efficient setup — Xiegu X6200, vertical on the tripod with 8 radials out, DigiPi, tablet. The process is getting smoother every activation.
On the air
Ran 20 meters FT8. Relaxed session, 12 QSOs. Not a pileup morning but a solid verification that everything was running at peak before moving to the next park. Sometimes that's exactly what an activation needs to be.
Would I activate here again?
Definitely. The early morning environment here is good for QRP operation and it pairs well with a Terra Ceia run on the same day.
