PreppComm has been offering a large GO Bag for some time, both as a Deluxe Canvas EMP Bag,and a complete Professional Ham Station GO Bag with everything you need except the transceiver (just add an MMX or DMX-40).
Introducing the Mini!
Believe it or not, the Mini GO Bag can carry all of the same contents as its big brother! Yes, there is little room left for anything else (some room, but not much), but it all fits! And, the bag is much less expensive, and much less expensive. Made with the same care and quality components, big zippers, and both a handle with faux leather and a shoulder strap, it is the lightest and smallest way to have a portable Ham Radio Station!
Note that is does not have the ability to transform into a backpack, like its big brother. The Mini GO Bag has a large center area with a separate zipper pocket, a rear zipper pocket, a large front zipper section, and two small zipper pockets, making six different storage areas! The solar panel fits in the front pocket easily, with room to spare. Even the antenna and setup kit fit, along with a solar battery or Super Power Battery, and all of the required cables, an MMX and keyboard.
WOW! This bag looks great, is so light and easy to carry, it is hard to believe it contains the entire radio station, including the antenna! The bag by itself weighs less than a pound, and is 14x10x5 inches, add about 1 ½ inch for front pocket loaded. That makes 14x10x6 ½ inches fully loaded.
The secret is the ability of the Mini GO Bag to expand to 5 full inches wide, and add another 1 ½ inch with the front pocket.
